Dr. Chris McKenney attended the University of South Florida before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College in 1983. He went on to complete extensive postgraduate study focused on whiplash injuries, headaches, and neck and back pain.

After beginning his career as an associate chiropractor, Dr. McKenney moved to Belleview in 1984 and founded McKenney Chiropractic Center. Over the decades that followed, he built the practice around compassionate care, strong patient relationships, and a genuine commitment to serving the local community.

Throughout his career, Dr. McKenney remained actively involved in the chiropractic profession and the Belleview community through organizations including the Florida Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, and the Belleview/South Marion Chamber of Commerce.

Although he has retired from active patient care, Dr. McKenney remains an important part of the practice. He continues to advise Dr. Ryan Stewart and Dr. Brittney McKenney Stewart, mentor chiropractic physicians, and support the clinic team as they carry McKenney Chiropractic into its next generation. His experience and perspective continue to help shape the standards of care and service the practice has been known for since its founding.

Outside the office, Dr. McKenney and his wife, Debbie, enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and pursuing their love of fishing in the Bahamas.
